Elton's Story...
Elton is a one and a half to two year old Lab/Golden Retriever mix...a "Goldador." Goldadors make great family members, having the sensitivity of the Golden Retriever and the tolerance of the Lab. Their good nature makes them highly trainable and many are used for guide, service and bomb detection dogs. Elton weighs 66 pounds and has about the softest coat ever. He is fully vetted (neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative). He is in a wonderful foster home where he is learning all kinds of new things, including sit and stay this week. He loves the children there and does well with the other dogs. Please go to safehavenky@gmail.com to request an application. Potential adopters should live within 100 miles of Princeton, KY. Adoption fee is $100.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elton, a Princeton Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Princeton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Princeton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Princeton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Princeton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Princeton paves the way for another one to be saved.
