Zuri's Story...
Zuri #7174 is a 6-month-old female Pointer mix. This young lady is such a sweet pup. She is housebroken and crate trained. She likes dogs cats and kids. She is great on a leash, she is active but quiet, playful and nice. She does know basic commands but knows them in another language so it will take a bit to learn new words for her commands. She weighs 45 pounds and is full grown but may fill out a bit more. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zuri, a Waldorf Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Pointer puppy from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
