Howdy! Are you looking for a devoted, low-riding studmuffin to be your new best friend? My name is Ryder, and I am a 5-year-old English Bulldog who is looking for a forever home through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am as handsome as they come; I am about 50 pounds, have stark white fur, and a face that will melt your heart: the brown ring around my eye will immediately draw your attention to my loving, attentive gaze. I have a playful, active personality for a bulldog, and my happy wigglebutt is always shaking from morning to night!

My friends at Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from a home where I was kept in a laundry room for most of my life. I was sad and neglected, but now that I am free and enjoying all the love and attention I get in my foster home I am a very happy boy! I love to go for long walks (believe it or not, but 2-3 miles is a good walk for me!) and mosey around the yard, so I would like to have a fenced yard at my forever home. I live with a couple other doggies who helped guide me to learn how to live and thrive in a home, but I would prefer to be your one and only furry friend in my forever home. I just love all the attention and affection for myself and get a little jealous when I have to share my people with other four-legged friends. When I think of my forever home, I would like a family where a human is home more often than not with me. Because of my past where I was left alone for so long without attention, I really want to be around my humans as much as possible to make up for lost time. I can be left alone for a few hours while you take care of human business, but I definitely like it better when you are home! I think of my foster dad as my favorite playmate, and I am my foster mom's little shadow so it is fun for me to follow her all around the house. If you have kiddos, I would prefer them to be older so they understand everything I went through before and why I need the special attention and kindness I crave...I have a 10-year-old human brother in my foster home and enjoy his pets and cuddles. And I would love lots of comfy, cozy places pick from where I can rest my head: I love to sit on soft, squishy surfaces and enjoy couch time (and if you would let me, I would even be happy to curl up and share your bed with you!) Like I said, I am really getting used to this loved, spoiled lifestyle!

I am a very sweet, and teachable, boy. Now that I finally have humans who guide me, I am learning potty training and even a few commands! I am about 90 percent potty trained; I know I am supposed to go potty outside now but I might take a couple days to get used to any new schedule in my forever home. I do some territorial marking in my foster home because there is another male dog here, but I think as your only fur friend this behavior will reduce (honesty is the best policy, right? Right!) I know a couple commands including sit, down, and off, and would love to learn more. Because of my past, Fetching Tails Foundation will require my adopters to sign us up for training sessions so we can bond and learn together. I can be bossy and try to test who is in charge, but will give in and listen to those whom I love most. So taking time in a structured setting to establish our roles and learn how to be the best version of myself possible will be a great experience for us both and I am looking forward to it! I love going for rides, so an excuse to jump in the car will be an added bonus! Anytime my foster mommy asks me if I want to go for a ride, I get so excited and even jumped up on the hood of her Jeep once! I definitely have a funny, joker personality and will keep you laughing, for sure!

I am an active, silly dude who has been waiting for my happily ever after with loving humans who will give me the attention I crave for a long time. Do you think you could be my favorite people in the world? If I sound like I could be the canine companion for you, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails Foundation soon and tell them Ryder is the fella for you!

Love,
Ryder
