My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES RYKA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Ryka is a beautiful female German Shepherd who is approx. 2-3 yr. old. She found herself in a shelter and no one came looking for her. She was very thin when she first came to the rescue but she is in a loving foster home now and eating nutritious food and gaining weight. Here is what her foster mom says about Ryka:

"Ryka loves to carry her bowl around with her! She is starting to relax and feel safe. When she first got here, she was terrified of men and would cower whenever anyone would approach her but she is responding better every day. Ryka is a low maintenance girl. She knows a few commands and likes both male and female dogs but NO CATS for this girl. In the short time she has been with us, Ryka and Pascal, who is also up for adoption, have become good friends. She loves playing with Pascal and they balance each other. If she is unsure and he approaches someone, she will follow his lead and vice versa. They sleep in the same room at night and they always want to be near each other during the day. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together."

Ryka is a sweet girl who is ready to find a family of her own to love. If you would like to make Ryka a part of your family, please copy the link for the application.
