Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gizmo
Gizmo has been through a lot and now is ready to find his furever homes! He had Distemper, fought for his life to fight it, survived it, but now only has a slight cough from the distemper virus, BUT, he is healthy and happy and will live happy life! The virus is now gone, but the effects from it are permanent.
He only coughs when he get stressed, excited or playing for a long time..
Gizmo is Black and white . He is 4 months old and weighs 25 pounds. The distemper caused nerve damage to his sinus cavity. Other then the cough he is doing fine. But boy oh boy can he run! He runs and runs, and can go up and down stairs with no problems.. Gizmo is doing great with housebreaking. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate by himself at night. Gizmo love to play I. The water bowel and water is his favorite..
NOTE Gizmo was surrender to a very high kill shelter down south Tx at the very tip of the south..
A litter of 7 but only 3 survived.. He has travel 1300 to fine his home...
How can you say no to that face...😁
We would also recommend you talking to your vet, or call around to vets, to find one that has some knowledge of distemper.. Sadly distemper is very common in the southern states, and prevented with vaccines. But, Gizmo survived it and unfortunately have some effects from it.
