HERE’S RYAN…….cute as a button (are buttons really cute? Well this one is!) This petite 10 lb, 2-3 yr old, tri colored Shih Tzu, with a splash of Lhasa (long bodied), is a character. He came to LHH from Moreno Valley Animal Shelter with a broken leg 🙁 Fortunately, he did not require surgery, but he took some time to heal. He loves to be pet and given tons of attention, and he wags his tail nonstop when he hears your voice. He’ll lean into your body and sometimes collapse with affection once he knows and trusts you! Ryan was extremely shut down when he first arrived, and it takes him a little while to warm up…but when he does, he loves to play with his toys and other dogs…he is good with kids and should have some of his own (human, of course). We did not think that he needed to go with another dog, but he was pending adoption and we realized that is what would make him the happiest (they did not have another dog). While he is very shy at first, Ryan is really a “no issues” dog (that we can tell) and even seems potty trained with outside access (a fenced backyard). If you are looking for a cutie pie who can join your family, hopefully with kids and other dogs….Ryan is your fluff muffin! How could you say no to that face?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
