ADOPTION PENDING~Herschel is a perfect pug: he's adept at cuddling, sleeping, eating, and snorting. We don’t know much about his early life, but he's definitely an older fellow. We think he's around 7-10 years old, and he has an endearing walking gait, which looks like a bouncy shuffle. He can be a little stubborn on his walks, but if he sees someone he wants to meet or something he wants to sniff, he can be surprisingly speedy for a pug of his age. He handles his foster mom's high-strung cat with grace and dignity, and has been a perfect gentleman any time he's met another dog or a child on a walk. He doesn't like being kept in a crate, but his foster family has been able to leave him alone in the apartment without excessive barking or any destruction. Herschel sometimes lets out a few yips when they first leave the house, but then he seems to settle down quickly (and doesn't always wake up when his foster family returns!), so he should be fine in most apartments. He loves having his belly rubbed, and will happily lay on his back for half an hour or more for the privilege.Herschel is house trained and has had his teeth recently cleaned. Anybody who adopts this sweetheart will have the best TV watching and napping companion that they could ever ask for. Herschel is being loved and fostered is Toronto

About Homeward Bound Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We rescue mainly Bulldogs and other flat faced dogs!!!! We love the breeds and know they sometimes need extra care and love. Before you consider any of these breeds you should get familiar with the terms; cherry eye, entropian, dry eye, heat stroke, bloat, cruciate and know that sometimes these breeds can develop or have these issues. Also remember they drool, snore, pass gas and breath heavy this is not for everyone, but for us it is normal!
