My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Akita is Adopted

Akita is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and her adoption fee/donation is $175

Akita is a 10-12 month old chow mix, we have no idea what her actual mix is, but she has the purple tongue of a chow, along with some other characteristics of this breed.
She came to us as an owner surrender, she was with a frail senior citizen living in a trailer, and was too much to manage for the woman.
Akita is a wonderful, well behaved, excellent tempered dog!!
She is just fantastic, great with all other dogs, loves kids, greets all people with a welcoming wagging tail.
She is housetrained, her foster works during the day, and is able to leave her loose in the home without any problems.

Akita does have one issue that needs attention, and that is her “running”, she needs a fenced in yard, and someone to work with her on the “come & stay” command.
If she gets loose, she is ALL puppy, and wants to run off, and is difficult to catch, she thinks it’s a game, and when you get close to her, she runs off.
She is a dog that will need leashed at ALL TIMES to keep her safe.

Akita loves human attention, rolls over for belly rubs, sits right next to her person on the couch and is very much a companion dog.
This girl is a perfect fit into almost any family, she will bring years of joy and loyalty to her adopters.

Akita is scheduled for her vetting on Aug 22nd, she will be spayed and receive her vaccines, as well as heartworm test.
She will be available for adoption shortly after once she is healed.
