Pepper is a beautiful 4-year old female Bluetick Coonhound mix who was surrendered by her owner on July 26, 2017 along with her younger companion (Molly) who shared her previous home.

Pepper has a stunning black/blue/red coat with blue ticking, a long tail, and an adorable Coonhound face with characteristic features of her noble breed. She has extra-large brown velvet ears and a small white heart-shaped mark on her forehead. Pepper has a calm, gentle disposition and a friendly, easygoing personality.

When we took Pepper's preliminary photos the day she arrived on July 26th, se wasn't quite ready to venture outside her comfort zone (i.e., her kennel and kuranda bed) to walk outdoors for glamour photos the day she arrived so we took her first pictures in her kennel (which were actually pretty cute as well as touching) .

Within a few days, Pepper had gained her self-confidence and was learning to walk on a leash :) She has quickly become a favorite of our kennel techs and volunteers since she is such a sweet girl and very easy to walk on a leash. We were thrilled to have an opportunity to take updated glamour photos of Pepper while she was enjoying some one-on-one time with volunteers on August 1st. Pepper was being pampered, spoiled, and enjoying treats while she spent time with volunteers beneath a shade tree. Pepper is a beautiful girl with a personality to match.

Pepper weighs 59.2 lbs and is such a sweetheart. She has much love to bestow upon whomever gives her a fabulous home~
