Jax's Story...
Jax, Jinx and a third female pup wandered into a farmers yard on Monteagle Mtn covered in blood. Not sure what happened as they had several nicks and scratches but no major injuries. Possibly their mom was killed and they were laying with her. The farmer decided to keep the third pup that looked like a Great Pyr and called us for help with Jax and Jinx. We estimate that they were born around May 20th so they are 11 weeks now and have had two sets of puppy shots and worming. They will have their third set of shots and be spay/neutered before traveling to their new families. Jax is slightly smaller than Jinx and looks more like the lab mix. There might be a little hound in there also as he has longer ears. Jax weighs about 15 lbs now and will probably be a little over 60 lbs when grown. He is sweet, loving, a little timid still and cute as a button! If you would like to make this baby boy your new family member, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Hagerstown Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
