Yukon's Story...
Yukon is a 2 year old bright and bubbly husky that would love to bop his way into your heart and home. He came to us from our Newark facility after his owner surrendered him due to being unable to care for him any longer. Yukon is an absolute clown. He just wants to have fun and goof around, and he's very puppyish. Yukon has had training in his young life but it's as if he knows how to behave but he just doesn't want to. He would rather throw out the rules and do what he wants! But he does respond very well to correction and can be quite polite when asked. Yukon tends to be a little mouthy so he will need a home with no children under 10. He just loves people and has no shyness about him. Yukon is active and playful, and would love a home with a nice, fenced yard to romp and exercise in. He will need a home with no cats or small dogs but he seems just fine with dogs closer to his size. He's a real comedian that will bring lots of joy and laughter into your life if you just give him the chance. File#27427 7/8/17

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yukon, a Forked River Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
