Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy: 2-year-old male black Lab mix – 84 pounds
Brought in to the county shelter as a stray by a good Samaritan who believed he was hit by a car, this big guy immediately won over many hearts at the shelter. The medical staff gave him a thorough look-over and took some x-rays… and found no lingering injuries or concerns from any car incident. We did find that he loves to romp in a kiddie pool – big time!
Lab mix? So what am I?
Take a guess:
□ 25% Lab; 50% Shepherd; 25% Golden Retriever?
□ 25% Shepherd; 50% Lab; 25% Poodle?
□ 25% Golden Retriever; 25% Samoyed; 50% Newfie; 0% Lab?
□ 50% Lab; 12.5% Chihuahua; 12.5% Bichon; 25% Great Pyrenees?
□ 100% Great Dog!
What Buddy’s Rescue Rep says: Friendly, engaging… but he doesn’t seem that interested in balls or toys. Walks pretty darn nice on leash. Gets along great with other dogs. Having just got neutered, Buddy Boy is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Due to his size and strength, Buddy would do best in a home without children. Buddy is located in Petaluma.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
