UNCLE BOB's Story...
UNCLE BOB's Story...
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm distinguished and sophisticated, yet sometimes shy at first glance. I may take a bit to open up to you but then BAM! My personality is out and you better be ready for it! I enjoy car rides, sniffing the ground on a good walk, and laying in your lap. I’m also charming! I prefer commitment—none of this "open relationship" nonsense. Could you be a match for me? If so, take me home now!
Nevada Humane Society is a non-profit organization whose lifesaving work is made possible through donations. In 2007, NHS became a no-kill shelter and launched a bold effort to help Washoe County become a no-kill community. In 2014, NHS expanded lifesaving efforts to include Carson City. Today, more than 70,000 animals have been placed into loving homes since 2007 and NHS continues to grow, maintaining its status as one of the top communities in the country for saving homeless pets.
Come Meet Our Pets...
NHS is open seven days a week, from 11am to 6:30pm Sunday through Friday, and an hour earlier on Saturday, from 10am to 6:30pm. There are also many other offsite adoption locations throughout northern Nevada, as well as cats at various PetSmart and Petco locations. Please call for details.
Our Adoption Process...
Each adoption consists of an interview along with and application and contract, and each is handled on a case-by-case basis. Standard adoption fees are $50, however there are often special adoption promotions that reduce fees. In addition, there are special programs for seniors, pets with medical needs and more. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help
