…and you look like the perfect match! House trained, crate trained, and friendly with other dogs, this Australian Cattle Dog is the very definition of 'awesome sidekick' and will keep you company on all your adventures, from the mundane to the extra-extraordinary.
Chuck carries 50 pounds of love and sweetness on him—that fluffy middle is bound to slim up with all the walks you'll take with him. Not uptight about close quarters and personal space, this guy's happy space is right next to you on the couch, and he will never judge you for that second, third, and fourth cookie—this is what a BFF is for, after all. Chuck's a big fan of love and back scratches, and a dog you'll be proud to call your best friend forever!

About Our Rescue Group...

•We pull dogs from shelters that euthanize, bring them into our homes, have them vetted, feed them a proper diet, train and exercise them until we reach our goal of finding them new homes and matching them up with forever families.
•We will re-home owner surrenders facing hardship no longer able to care for their herding dog.
•We want to reduce the animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering and educating the public of its importance.
We are strong advocates against animal suffering, abuse and neglect. We teach the importance of proper care, training and socialization for a humane world.

All Herding Breed Dog Rescue of Illinois is a state licensed, non for profit, 501c3 applied for, rescue group. We are an all-volunteer organization that operates solely on donations.

We attend adoption events in the Joliet/Chicago area. Our pets can be seen by appointment as well. We have several foster homes that are willing to welcome you to see these great dogs. Please contact Lois at

Our Adoption Process...

Our process begins with an application which can be found on our website . Fees vary depending on the dog/puppy, but range from $350.00 to $400.00. You will be asked to provide a vet reference and schedule a meet-n-greet with all family members and any other dogs you may have, if possible.
