Facts about titan

  • Breed: Great Dane
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
  • Sex: Male
Titan is a handsome young man full of energy and love. He may take a few minutes to warm up to you if he doesn’t know you and then it is “game on”. He won’t stop KISSING YOU!!! He has manners but is still a puppy at heart. He knows to sit, shake a paw and down. He is very food motivated and is pretty hungry – so he may guard his food when eating (we are checking if a medical condition or just he wasn’t fed enough). He has passed the dog test with flying colors and IS A FAST AND FUN (a little rough) player. He was perfect with a lab, golden and even larger dogs. But again he is anxious to play. He has fallen in love with people he sees often especially a little girl. She does give him a lot of treats (which he takes a little quickly – so watch your fingers) – but again no signs of being too rough, anxious or guarded with little people. He would be an excellent addition to any family just need to watch and train to see if during feeding time he has a little protection issue with “his” food.
Titan’s previous owners say he is an escape artist and can open door handles. We have not seen this but since he is a crafty one we are going to require a sturdy 6 ft fence to help keep him from escaping. He has lived with other dogs in the past with no issues. It was indicated that he is a kitty chaser so he needs to go to a no cat home. Titan can be sketchy with smaller children, especially those who don’t have a healthy respect for dogs so we will not be placing him with small children.
As Titan is still a puppy a training requirement will be part of his adoption to ensure he continues to learn good manners.

Update 8-13-17
Titan is still very much an energetic puppy and we feel he would do best going to a home with another dog his size who is able to play fairly rough like he does. He has a large amount of puppy energy and really needs a good-sized yard to be able to run off some of it. We will not consider an apartment or townhome for this reason. He has also shown to be a bit food aggressive so he needs to go to an experienced home who is able to manage issues like these with more than one dog.
