My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucky #4is a 2-year-old neutered male black lab. Lucky weighs 80 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

Lucky is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to standalone, single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from Lucky's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and will send out an update.

Aug 11, 2017: Lucky loves his toys and anything you give him to chew on. He enjoys belly rubs and will roll over for you so you can rub his belly. Whatever you do around the house, don't forget to take him with you...being by you side is his favorite place to be. Feeling Lucky? You will if you adopt this handsome boy!

Aug 2, 2017: Lucky has been great ever since he got him in the car. He's a great car rider and gets in and lays down on the floor. Didn't seem to care for the window all too much. He is strong and walks best with a harness. Lucky is extremely responsive to the command "no", and already doing better with "sit" since he has been here a few hours. He is crate trained and so far doesn't mind being in there to test it out. Lucky is a good eater. He seems house trained as well! Someone is really going to love this dog. In 5 hours, we already think he's pretty amazing. He does like to follow you where ever you go, and he is a sweet little shadow. If that doesn't sell you on this dog, his little speckled feet will melt your heart.

Jul 16, 2017: Lucky is friendly and loving and loves to play. Lucky has been tested on lead with other dogs and has been fine. We don't know how Lucky is with cats. There's no kid history for Lucky, so he's approved for kids ages 10 and up.
