Skeeter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Skeeter's Story...
Skeeter is only 6 pounds! He is a 7 year old white Maltese/Toy Poodle mix. We got Skeeter nearly three years ago from the Warren County shelter. He was scheduled to be euthanised that day. Skeeter has been kept up to date on all his vaccines, heart worm and flea medication. He had his yearly vet appointment last month and he is healthy. His left eye has 'dry eye' and needs ointment, but he is good about having it put in his eye. He is neutered and housetrained and he has a microchip.
Skeeter is a very loving dog that like to be with you all the time. We have him shaved down so his hair is short, and in the winter he likes it when I put him under my sweatshirt. He will curl in a ball and stay there as long as I let him. He likes to be covered with a blanket just as much. Skeeter has a cage that he goes in at night, but he is also fine being left out. He is not fed on a schedule, his bowl is kept full and he eats when he is hungry. He does not over eat. Skeeter does fine with other dogs. I do not know how he would be with cats. Skeeter loves kids. Skeeter would be great with a family or and older person.

Please apply online if you'd like to meet Skeet. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skeeter, a Cincinnati Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
