My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ace a 5-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Ace weighs 77 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

Physical fence required.

Aug 14, 2017: Ace has been in his foster home for a few days and has been doing great! He has been very well behaved and has been very focused on catching up on all of the snuggles he was missing while he was waiting to move to a foster home. Ace will take any opportunity he can to snuggle and does not believe that there is any such thing as personal space. No space on the couch? No problem for Ace. He will make space even it means that he ends up on your lap. Ace has been sleeping in bed with his foster mom and makes sure he snuggles while he sleeps too. Last night, he slept with his head on the pillow and his arm over his foster mom. Ace attended the adoption event yesterday and while he did not find his perfect home, he did show everyone his fantastic temperament. He was completely unfazed by all of the people and dogs. He is a wonderful companion and is the kind of dog that would love to escort you to your children’s games or your favorite dog friendly winery, brewery or restaurant. Ace went for a play date yesterday afternoon and was playing with the resident dogs in no time. Watch him here: https://youtu.be/gjZD9Erz1Ec After play time he sat calmly next to the dinner table and easily joined the other 3 labs waiting for a handout.

Aug 1, 2017: Let’s play cards! Best one in the deck is an ACE as the meaning of that word is high-quality, excellence! And this Ace is a stunning, 5 year old chocolate neutered male. Ace is house trained, sleeps in a crate at night, and has been spending time in an outdoor kennel during the day. He has some very basic leash manners, and will benefit from formal training. Ace can jump a six foot fence if he's bored, but isn't inclined to if his humans are playing and engaging with him, so he should never be left unattended in the yard. He just loves other pups; and lives with a female lab. He is approved for kids 8 and up. Ace chases bunnies big time, plus no kitty history, so no cats.
