My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello my name is Lightfoot! Lightfoot is an adorable, shepherd/terrier mix is almost a year old. He is a little boy, full of spunk and energy, with a face shaped like a terrier, German Shepherd ears (Lordy, look at those ears!), herds like a Border Collie, and springs like a Jack Russell. He looks solid, dark brown or black but he has a pretty brindle color coat. He's a happy fellow and eager to please when bribed with treats or toys. Otherwise, he has a bit of a stubborn streak. House training is going very well. He loves men, women, kids, other dogs and wants to play hard with all of them. Older kids may be a better fit. I havn't had him around cats. I'm sure he'd like them but may be too rough for them. He's very aggressive, not in a mean way, but runs right up into other dogs face and jumps up at them to play. He doesn't read their warnings at all. He's extemely gentle taking food and treats offered by hand. He's terrified of the vaccuum cleaner and will attack it. He suffers from seperation anxiety and will bark and cry when you leave the room when he's in a crate. He doesn't like the crate but will go in it when bribed with food or a treat. I do have to keep him in it when I leave home and overnight. He may have seen and/or received some abuse, as he kind of freaks out when people are raising their hands close to each other. He swims and can climb the ladder to the roof of our houseboat and back down. He's a very special boy and super smart!
