SERENA (R)'s Story...
Meet Serena. She is such a sweet 8 year old, 18 pound girl who somehow lost her way and found herself in a very big and loud place with so many other barking dogs. She was hoping her family would find her but after a week of waiting they did not show so Serena is now ready for a new forever home. She is calm and quiet and well behaved, sitting when told and easy on leash. Serena is current on her vaccines and will be tested for heart worms and micro-chipped when adopted. Due to her age she cannot be spayed at the shelter as the shelter vet does not have the needed equipment for the needed blood work before a senior is given anesthesia. Please do not let that hold you back from giving her a forever home. She will pay you with the sweetest kisses.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SERENA (R), a Marietta Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
