My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sonar and I am only 3yrs old, weigh 40lbs and my mom was a BIchon but no clue who my Daddy was. My pregnant mom came into the rescue 012914 after being found on the streets during the Polar Vortex of 2014 when it was the coldest winter ever and then I was born, I am 1 of 2 puppies but my sibling didn't make it and it was scary for all of us but we made it. thru.
I grew and was a very hppy puppy and was adopted into my new family June of 2014. I lived in a total boys home, in a house with a fenced yard with my human brother, Dad and my male K9 partner in crime..it was great! Sadly things started falling apart, my human brother moved away, my Dad worked 12hr shifts and my K9 partner was older and passed on. My Dad felt I was not getting the care I deserved and returned me to the rescue.
My orginal Foster Mom took me in and has been evaluating me. I am crate trained and do like my crate but can be left out if preferred.
I am also potty trained...now I did have a couple accidents in my new setting but that was to be expected.
I am fully vetted/neutered and microcipped
I do get along with other dogs, I was adopted into a home with a male Shih tzu and sometimes he would get grumpy but he was older and I was a pup. My foster companions I grew up with and they are small dogs and female and I do play gentle with them but I do tell them my crate is mine and sometimes will sit by my food if any of them go near it but I play very well with my one foster playmate ...the other one doesn't want to play with me... I do need someone with multiple dog ownership experience. I think I would love to be the only dog so I can get all the attention I deserve in my home and can go and play with others outside of the home which would be ideal for me. I did go to a doogie day camp for a week while my foster mom was away and they said I did awesome but again it was not my home.
I had a lot of attention when I was a pup around kids and the kids who helped foster me with my foster Mom when I was a pup came over recently and I did very well with them, they are dog savy children, I would do great in a home with older children 8yrs and up due to my size and recent inexperience with very young children. I do love to play ball and will bring it back, I also love tug of war and will then be happy to crawl up on your lap after aa good day of play or walks. I lived in a home where I was let out into a fenced yard so my leash walking needs more work but I do love walks and would love a fenced yard but that is not required.
I do more basic training such as walking and not pulling and I have never been off the leash when I was not confined but I do know some basic comands and tricks.
I am looking for my prefect home if you are the one please contact the rescue for more information
My adotption fee is $250 to the perfect family
I am a very happy dog just looking for a great home if you think I would be a great fit in your home please comtact the rescue for more information
