Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hutch! Hutch and his brother Starsky were found as strays at the tender age of only 6 months old. These boys appeared to have been on their own quite awhile, but with love, care, proper nutrition, and good vetting, these boys both have a clean bill of health!
Hutch is about 8 months old now, and has been living with many other dogs very peacefully. He is not bonded to his brother, and in fact, they choose to play with other dogs if given the opportunity, so we plan to adopt them out separately.
Hutch is about 45-50 lbs, and should not get a whole lot bigger. He is a silly, goofy lovebug that knows the name "Tomato" because of his goofiness! He is a typical lab puppy, and will make short work of a stuffed toy and anything fluffy. Hutch and has undergone some basic training and has made huge strides!
Hutch gets along with every dog he has met, and has never met a dog he doesn't like. He has never shown dominance nor aggression of any kind, and knows when to submit to another dog. He also knows when to stop if play becomes too much for him, adapts to other dogs' playing styles, is very forgiving and forgets after getting upset with another dog. Typical of young lab puppies he still jumps up on people, but his foster has been working on this and he does know the command "get down." Also typical of young labs, he can still be destructive if not shown what is ok to chew and what is not. He LOVES toys - of all kinds - plush, chews, rope toys, kongs, bones, elk horns, antlers, balls, squeaky toys, you name it, Hutch loves it!
Hutch is said to be very respectful of cats, does not chase them or tackle them. He is housebroken and will let you know when he has to go out. Unlike his brother, Hutch does not jump fences and has shown no desire to do so. Hutch is happiest where his people are! He is silly and talkative and "woos" at you for your attention. He loves to climb in laps to get hugs and prefers to sleep on furniture rather than a dog bed.
Hutch has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, deflea-ed, de-wormed, and is on heartworm prevention. He is fully ready to find his forever home!
