She is about 1.5 years old now, house-trained and spayed.
We saw this sweet girl when we went to pull another dog from the Richland County dog shelter. Lily was just coming in from going potty outside and she was so deathly frightened, she was shaking like a leaf and walking so close to the ground her belly was rubbing it. It was obvious this young lady was neglected. Her backend was missing hair and her skin was red (from untreated fleas). Her tummy showed evidence of having at least 1 litter of pups, her ears were infected and she her neck hair was worn away as though she was always tied up. All this at only at a year of age! My heart broke and I just had to bring her into rescue and show her love!!
When I brought Lily into my foster home, she was so frightened, I allowed her to stay in her own room and not mingle with any dogs until she felt comfortable. She had already been treated for her fleas at the shelter so a simple de-wormer and a phone call to the vet for an appt was all the immediate action needed. Within 24 hours, Lily was anxious to come join her foster siblings. She was still stressed but was very interested in what was going on outside her room. She could see all the activity through her gate. So one by one, she was introduced to the gang and she soon started to feel more comfortable.
It was easy to fall in love with Lily (as if that didn't happen right away anyway). Not an ounce of aggression exists in this precious angel. She is as sweet as they come! As the days passed, Lily has gained confidence in my home and no one would ever think she was a shaking leaf afraid of the world. She is very playful and happy. She loves to run through the house and do zoomies in the yard. She loves to chase and be chased. And when she's not being a playful puppy, she loves to cuddle and give kisses!! She is an amazing little girl!!! Until.... you take her outside my home. She will easily follow me on a leash but is slowly still learning that other people will not hurt her. She is still learning that the world is safe and she can also be happy in a strange environment.
Now that Lily is healthy and happy, it's time for her to find her furever family. A family that will continue to love her and have their heart melt when they see her cute little face snuggling with a toy or another dog. A family that will be patient and give her the time she needs to become comfortable again and be confident enough to continue experiencing the real world outside a cage, outside of being a breeding momma. Lily loves being a companion and showing her love and loyalty.
Lily's ideal home does require a fenced yard since she may have some pit bull in her (many cities require this for this breed..which we know she isn't 100% BUT, neighbor perception must be taken into consideration). Lily has also requested a playmate! She plays with bigger and smaller dogs so size doesn't matter but she loves to play and snuggle so she would be happiest with someone to run around with.
We also are looking for a home that has a minimal number of people. She does feel comfortable with women more than men so having too many males in the home will hinder her from feeling safe.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email email@example.com
