Hi there. I'm Roscowe. I'm an adorable little Dachshund mix. I am a sweet boy who just wants to be loved! I am about 7 years old and weigh about 15 pounds. An awesome rescue group rescued me and brought me to Heartland so I can find my happy life. I am adorable, friendly, loving, sweet, and modest ... well maybe not modest. I love everyone I meet. I love going for my walks and kind of prance instead of walk. Please come to meet me soon and you will see what a great dog I am. Maybe you can take me home and I can be your forever friend.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
