Facts about Cersei

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Border Collie Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
The "Game of Throne" pups were found living under a partially burned down shed near Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee... no humans or momma dog could be found, which leads us to believe they may have been dumped there. These pups may or may not be from the same litter (some look so different from the others!!), but they were all found huddled up together. They are approximately 10 weeks old and weigh around 5-7 pounds each. We are not sure of their breed, but we do know that they are all so ridiculously sweet and are beyond adorable!!

They are currently in our jail dog program called the PADDLE program (Prisoners and Dogs Developing Life Experiences). The PADDLE program pairs female trustees with puppies that they care for while we finish their vetting and find them perfect homes. They start working on basic training skills and potty training using puppy pads.

If you are interested in adding one of these pups to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. They are currently in west Tennessee and will be transported once their adoptions are finalized. Transport runs to the following cities: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; Willington, CT.

These pups will be ready for transport August 18/19.

About Goofy Foot Rescue - Bedminster

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a foster based rescue out of West Tennessee. A surfing term like "goofy foot" in West TN? We are California transplants! Goofy foot means surfing "with your right foot forward"....and we strive to always put the right foot forward in all we do!

We moved to TN from CA 10 years ago and immediately began "rescuing", although we didn't know that's what we were doing. We just knew that stray dogs kept finding us and we would do whatever was necessary to get them vetted and into wonderful, loving homes. We soon ran out of relatives and friends to beg to take a dog so we began branching out. We soon realized that even though we have a massive overpopulation problem here in the south, the eastern states actually have a bit of a shortage of dogs in a rescue setting....so we began adopting our Southern Beauties out to the northeast!

When you adopt a dog from Goofy Foot they come to you fully vetted. Fully vetted means they've been to the vet, had age appropriate shots (2 sets if the dog is a puppy), rabies vaccine if over 12 weeks, fecal, deworming, heartworm test if over 6 months, spay or neuter, grooming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention is current and any other vetting that the dog may require. Our low adoption fee of $425 covers all of this vetting AND transportation to you! Adoptions in the state of TN that do not require professional transportation are $225.

Goofy Foot Dog Rescue consists of a husband, wife and two daughters along with several wonderful fosters that offer their homes and hearts to these dogs as a temporary stop on their way to their forever homes. We are grateful for our fosters, supporters and adopters and we couldn't do this without all of you!
