Star's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Star's Story...
Star was found by animal control fending for herself and her 5 puppies.    We immediately fell in love with her.  She is very quiet, gets along with all the other dogs at the shelter and is cat friendly.  She walks on a leash and keeps her kennel very clean.  She is small and although she will gain some weight with her puppies being weaned, she is 39 lbs, and will be a great size for a single or a family.  She loves having her head rubbed and is so gentle.  Star is definitely a "super star" to us and we can't wait for her to have a new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Kittery Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
