My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner is a 5 year old Husky. This big lump of lovebug came to our rescue as a stray, or so we thought. He had been seen all over town as he was quite a Romeo. Several good Samaritans tried to contain him until we could make arrangements for a foster, but Gunner had different plans! Huskies are known escape artists, and Gunner sure was upholding the reputation as he moved from one love nest to another. As it so happens, Gunner actually had an owner, but being unfamiliar with the breed, she had grown frustrated with his roaming ways and directed us to take him back to the shelter she had adopted him from because she no longer wanted him! Well, being the sweetheart he is, we couldn't let that happen. Once we placed Gunner with a foster and him vetted, we were devastated to learn that he was positive for heartworms. His fabulous foster had grown quite fond of our handsome fella and agreed to see him through treatment. This poor boy really struggled through treatment, and at one point we almost lost him. But again, Gunner had other plans. Miraculously, he is heartworm free and ready for his forever home. He loves his foster family, two and four legged alike. He is still young enough to be playful, but wise enough to enjoy a snuggle and snooze. No longer the Romeo he once was, Gunner is looking to lavish all his love on a family who will love him in return.
He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped, heart worm negative and on a heartworm and flea preventative.
