Gunner is a 5 year old Husky. This big lump of lovebug came to our rescue as a stray, or so we thought. He had been seen all over town as he was quite a Romeo. Several good Samaritans tried to contain him until we could make arrangements for a foster, but Gunner had different plans! Huskies are known escape artists, and Gunner sure was upholding the reputation as he moved from one love nest to another. As it so happens, Gunner actually had an owner, but being unfamiliar with the breed, she had grown frustrated with his roaming ways and directed us to take him back to the shelter she had adopted him from because she no longer wanted him! Well, being the sweetheart he is, we couldn't let that happen. Once we placed Gunner with a foster and him vetted, we were devastated to learn that he was positive for heartworms. His fabulous foster had grown quite fond of our handsome fella and agreed to see him through treatment. This poor boy really struggled through treatment, and at one point we almost lost him. But again, Gunner had other plans. Miraculously, he is heartworm free and ready for his forever home. He loves his foster family, two and four legged alike. He is still young enough to be playful, but wise enough to enjoy a snuggle and snooze. No longer the Romeo he once was, Gunner is looking to lavish all his love on a family who will love him in return. He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped, heart worm negative and on a heartworm and flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Come Meet Our Pets...
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience.
