Facts about Jackie

  • Color: Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 36085869

Dark brown/black tabby w/ white paws, short hair, female, born approx. 6/1/14, #13057

Jackie and her two siblings were living happily in El Centro when their human family lost their home and had to move in with relatives where they could not take the cats. A person out there who knew of The Rescue House asked if we could help.

Jackie took a while to adjust to losing her home, though her innate sweetness was clear and shining through from the beginning. She is a bit of a turtle who likes being burrowed under something cozy, yet she'll pop out to say hello and she never turns down a gentle bonding petting session. Jackie also has a head for heights and you may find her in obscure places, especially during her settling-in period. She likes to connect with a chosen person and promises to be a wonderful companion kitty for the chosen person who has a little patience and love, which is all Jackie needs to flourish.

Jackie gets along nicely with other cats, though we don't know her thoughts on dogs. Gentle older children who can have a bit of patience with Jackie as she figures out what this latest change means should be okay.

Jackie is a girl who will make you smile. There are many moments to treasure as you bond together and form a lasting friendship. Will you be Jackie's forever person?

About THE RESCUE HOUSE

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Centers are located in retail pet stores whose philosophy agrees with The Rescue House's mission. A list of the adoption centers can be found here: http://www.rescuehouse.org/adoption-centers.html

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.
