Hi There! My name is Claire and I am ready to start my new life with you! I spent some time in a foster home while raising my 5 kittens and now I'm ready for a forever home to call my own. I am cat and dog friendly, I became fast friends with my foster family's dog. Having come in as a stray, I do have some habits I need to work on, but I promise you that they are easy to work around! Just keep your bread loaves and cereal bags off the counter top, and my food bowl full :). My foster mom said I helped her keep her counter tops clean because she couldn't leave anything out, but hey can you blame me? Human food is cool. I can be very talkative, so if you need a little more conversation in your life, I'm your gal! My favorite thing to do at the end of the day is to snuggle up next to you on the couch and watch some TV. I promise to add a lot of joy to your life if you give me a chance!

About Great Plains SPCA - Independence Campus

Our Adoption Process...

Great Plains SPCA has bi-state Pet Adoption Centers in Merriam, KS and Independence, MO with expert matchmakers ready to find you the perfect furry family member. Let us help grow your family!

Basic Adoption Requirements:

Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.

For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.

Pet adoption fees range from $45 to $250. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
