Quincy's Story...
Arrooo everyone!!! My name is Quincy and I am a 2 year old male looking for my forever home. If your looking for a couch potato, I am not your guy. It's sad but true, I was given up because I was too active for my past family. Bassets often are said to be "Lazy ole hounds" but we all start out as puppies and we too have that youthful energy, just like most other breeds.
Enough about what once was, lets talk about me here and now. I am a basset mix but don't let that "mix" word fool you. I am full of energy, and I look, sound and act like a full basset hound. I am a tad taller than my basset buddies, so watch those counters or I will be looking for those "hidden" treats. I arrived in my foster home with little manners but I am working very hard at learning the rules here and in such a short time. I have already made such progress. I love this doggy door thing they have. Once I figured it out, I was in and out and in and out again. I would love a home with a yard, so I can run and play. I love playing chase the ball but I am not so into bringing it back yet. I am still working on making sure I only potty outside but I am learning.

I get along great with other dogs but I do best when food isn't being shared. I like playing with toys and going on long walks. When the day is done, I love laying on your lap or next to you and following you around the house. If you have room in your heart and home for an energetic hound like me, please take me home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quincy, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
