Sophie is a 7mo female German Shepherd Dog mix who was surrendered by her owner in Memphis when he became homeless.  Sweet, well-socialized, affectionate, happy, typical GSD temperament.  Loves other dogs and would benefit from a dog buddy in her new home.  Not recommended for cats because she likes to chase them in play, she still has a lot of puppy left in her. Great with kids and recommended for children 6 years and older. High energy level outside, well-mannered in the house.  Crate trained and housebroken. Learning basic commands.  Loves to be with her people.  Good on a leash, rides great in the car.  Estimated DOB is 1-1-17. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 40 pounds.  AWESOME young GSD mix will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!) for an active family who loves the breed.

About Good Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Good Dog Rescue is an all-breed rescue group headquartered in the South. Our group is comprised of volunteers all over the Southeast who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all of our Good Dogs’ temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. A dog’s health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.
