Meet Lance Romance, a goofy looking boy with a personality to match. Lance is about 1 year old and weighs 65 pounds. We believe he is a mix on several breeds - our vet thinks American Staffordshire and Cane Corso are the most prominent.

Lance is a very sweet boy who loves every person and dog he meets. He really enjoys his outside time, short hikes and the dog park are his favorite! Like most bully breeds, he loves his toys (as long as they're pit bull proof). Lance is only a year and will probably have his puppy qualities for a few more years so he's going to need consistent training and attention to make sure he grows up to be a well-rounded pitty. As much as he loves to play, he also enjoys his time cuddled up watching a movie. He doesn't know his size so he thinks he's a 65 pound lap dog! His allergies require him to be on a strictly grain-free, limited ingredient diet. Also, it left him with pretty sensitive skin. We've found that washing his blankets with hypo-allergenic laundry soap, washing floors with a natural cleaner, and giving him regular baths with a special shampoo have worked wonders on keeping his skin in check, especially during the summer months and pollen season. He came to us in rough shape - severely infected ears and skin - we do not want to see him revert so his new home will be required to keep him on a grain free diet! Lastly, his wonky body shape will most likely require special attention with his legs and muscles later on in life. Lance is going to require a home with bully-breed/big dog experience. Lance is good with other dogs. He will require a NO CAT home as he is a chaser - game on! He hasn't caught one yet though! Lance is good with kids as long as they are sturdy! His foster mom would like a fenced yard for him. He is VERY strong and will need a home with large dog experience.

Lance is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for heartworm, flea/worm treated. Lance's adoption fee is $350 - you can apply on our website. We are looking for the best match for Lance.

About Pixie Mamas Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.

Our Adoption Process...

Please apply oline at

All information pertaining to this dog is listed on our website, including age, general size, personality profile, adoption fee and all policies and procedures pertaining to adopting a Pixie Mamas dog. Please go to our website and read about the dog there as well as all pertinent info. for adopting this dog. IF THERE IS INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOGS PROFILE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER ,,,GENERALLY SPEAKING,,,,THIS DOG IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THEN PLEASE GO AHEAD AND EMAIL WITH THAT SPECIFIC QUESTION. We will be happy to answer questions not already covered in the thorough amount of info already printed on our website. If you feel that this dog is worth considering as a family member, please submit an application and a volunteer will contact you asap.
We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful Pixie Mamas pooches. Without you adopters we could not continue to do what we do. We appreciate your time and effort as well ,to comply with what is needed for us to keep Pixie Mamas Rescue going with as little stress and extra time as necessary.
Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.
Good luck in finding the right dog for your family.
