About Houston Humane Society
About Our Shelter...
The Houston Humane Society (HHS) is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse, and the overpopulation of animals. We receive no federal, state, or local funds and rely solely on donations and special events.
HHS provides a wide variety of animal welfare programs to Houston area residents and their pets, including pet adoptions, humane education and Houston's only $30 spay/neuter clinic that is open to the general public.
There are many different ways you can help us to reduce animal suffering, whether it be through adoption, volunteering, education, participating in our special events throughout the year, or making a donation to support our programs.
Come Meet Our Pets...Our Adoption center is open seven days a week. Our Clinic is open every day except Thursday. We are located at 14700 Almeda Road, just 2 blocks South of Beltway 8. For more details please see our website http://www.houstonhumane.org
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must fill out an application for an animal. Upon approval of the application, it is a $85 fee to adopt the animal. This includes Spay/Neuter, rabies vaccination, Microchip, and a pet adoption kit, and unconditional love from your new family member. A value of $274 all for just $85.
