Couch Potatoes Anonymous granted Tina their `Most Cuddly Member` award this month! There''s nothing she loves more than a good snooze on the couch while `watching` TV or in bed - no more cold nights with this pup around! ...There may be one thing she loves more or as much as napping though and that would be eating the actual potato.
Tina was rescued from a bleak life as a chained dog suffering severe starvation. If Animal Control had not picked her up she would be dead right now.
She''s spent the last few months letting her foster family know just how grateful she is to be alive and to be able to play with other dogs and enjoy the sunshine and outdoors. She just fit right into her foster family, getting along with people and other dogs as soon as she felt good enough to come out of her dog house. You see, she''d spent most of her life outside, alone, chained up. At first she was afraid to come in the house and mostly wanted to be left alone. Her foster mom and 4-legged foster siblings were patient with her, giving her time to rest and recuperate (and eat!) before gently inviting her to come play. Once Tina realized that she was in a home where life was good, she joined right in the fun. She''s now healthy, happy and playful! She''s even house-trained, crate-trained and is just a happy dog. She enjoys running laps in the yard and playing with other dogs but she is always ready for snuggles and a nap. She''s a totally different dog now and she''s ready to find her forever home.
Tina is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped! If you''d like to meet her, please call the Humane Society at (254) 754-1454.
