Facts about Tiger

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11848236
  • Hair: Unknown
Tiger is a very handsome orange & white boy who stole our hearts at the shelter with his sweet and outgoing disposition - he just wanted to be petted on every inch of his body! He joined us here at Kitty Corner on May 12th and has settled in beautifully given just a bit of time. He's very affectionate and loves to sit on laps. He's a bit overwhelmed by all of the cats here at Kitty Corner, but loves to be petted and does come out for more attention given just a bit of time. Tiger is estimated to be 6 years of age and is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and FeLV/FIV negative. We think that this easy-going, gentle giant would do great in an adult home, and would probably thrive if he got to be your one & only snugglebug or live with one other easy-going cat. His new adopter should expect that it will take him time to adjust in a new home, but given just that, he'll happily crawl into bed with you and snuggle until the cows come home! He was clearly a well-loved cat before being brought to the public shelter and we've no doubt that nothing would make his heart happier than getting to be someone's furry love once again. About Contra Costa Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Contra Costa Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that operates such programs as Adoptions, Kitty Corner, Spay/Neuter Assistance, and AniMeals. We are not affiliated with any other rescue organization, humane society or spca.

Our mission is to empower our community to improve the quality of life for animals and decrease euthanasia rates. Through our programs and services, we connect with individuals and private and public organizations to adopt pets, reduce the number of unwanted animals, and educate the public to foster compassion, responsibility and respect towards animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions on Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 12-3pm or during the week (preferably by appointment to make sure someone's available to show you the cats).

All of our dogs, puppies and kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.

Our Adoption Process...

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!
