I am lost in this place with so many cats and kittens! I"ve had vaccines and socialized. EVen though there are so many that you can't rescue us all, just saving one makes a difference, especially to the one that gets a home. I sure hope it is me. the shelter is located at 650 John HOwell Memorial Drive in Lincolnton. 704 736 4125. Open M W F SAt; 11 to 4:30. Open Tues Thurs11:00 until 7 p.m. All cats are just $20 this month to adopt and that includes their spay or neuter , vaccines, including rabies , microchip and even 30 days of free insurance! Note: for kittens we often say, good with dogs, because a kitten can easily learn to like a dog once they know they are friendly. (It's the dog that must like the cat!) Once you pay the adoption fee,There is a very family friendly cat interaction room in our newly remodeled shelter. Don't delay, these kittens don't have forever. Every one that gets a home means one more could be moved up to the adoption room.. Please hurry and adopt me. thank you !
We focus on helping cats and dogs in LIncoln County Animal Services. The shelter is trying to be a 90 percent live release shelter. There are hundreds of animals who come into the shelter and our county is not that large so we strive to place them in homes or get them to rescues. We hold adoption events as well as list them on sites. We also try to foster those who have been at animal control the longest and in danger of not making it out.
Please volunteer if you are in the North Charlotte area or willing to drive to Lincoln County area to help. We need help with set up and take down at adoption events besides interacting and helping the public with adoptions . You can also volunteer to help at the shelter after an orientatoin and a background check.
We really are in need of foster homes. If you can commit please let us know. We can give you details on short term fostering as well as helping with special needs animals who need longer care, such as kittens with RW who are not allowed to stay in the shelter and are euthanized if they are not rescued.
