Habanero! This boy is 3 months old and just under 4 lbs. He came to us from our local animal control. He was originally completely bald and scaley from demodex mange (non-contagious). He is looking absolutely wonderful after a few weeks in foster care. He still needs to grow in a little more hair on his head but is right on track to having a beautiful coat and healthy skin. This boy is a happy happy bouncy puppy. Apply to adopt at www.texaschihuahuarescue.com

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Habanero, a Jersey City Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Jersey City, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Jersey City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jersey City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jersey City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jersey City paves the way for another one to be saved.
