My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Pea is estimated to be 5 yrs old and he weighs 12.3 lbs. He was tied to the front door of one of our veterinary hospitals when they came in one morning. He is shy at first, until he gets to know you, and then he will come when called and allow you to pet him.. He is crate trained and house trained.  His foster mom says that he is a very quiet and laid-back dog.

His foster mom also reports that if there are other dogs in the house, he will stay off in the distance, eat, go out and sleep in the group area, but he just observes whatever is going on and doesn’t participate.  He is not into playing with other dogs.  She reports that he does not bark except occasionally, when he sees something in the yard.  He is not aggressive at all, just very shy and easy going.

Sweet Pea does love to lay in your lap but only when he can lay alone and does not have to compete with another dog for lap space,   He loves to get his belly rubbed and he also loves to lay in a nice soft dog cushion or bed and just observe everything that is going on..

He loves to sun himself in the yard.  His foster mom says that she is not sure if he will ask to go out as one of the other dogs at her house always asks to go out and Sweet Pea is ready to go whenever he is.  She reports that he has had no accidents in the house.

Sweet Pea is UTD on shots, neutered and on HW preventative. His coat is very dense and when he showed up, his coat had been shaved.
