I'm SWAI, a 2 to 3-year-old, 70 lb., female Black Mouth Cur/Hound mix who's been abandoned by my family when they moved. They just left me in the yard. (Why did that do that? I'm so confused and sad.) They left me outside all the time in the cold and the heat. When the rescue people came to see me, I got so excited, I started to bark. (Yay! People!) When they came into my pen, I stopped barking and lowered myself, looking up at them with bright and hopeful eyes. I just want to be loved by someone and so next I gave the rescue person a big greeting with lots of wags and wiggles. I get along with other dogs and in fact played nicely with another dog who was a 20 lb starving stray in my neighborhood. I even like cats! (I am an equal opportunity, lovey-dovey girl.) And when I lived in a house a while back, I lived with kids. I LOVE to ride in cars, am crate trained, walk pretty well on my leash, and don't bark much. I'm smart and treat-oriented, so I'm a quick study. I would love to be loved again and I promise to shower affection, loyalty, and lots of kisses on you if you come get me. I'm SWAI.
