Mason is a cute, 5 year old Shih Tzu boy whose owner moved and could not take him with him. He is black and white and has the softest fur. He has rather short legs, but in spite of that, Mason is a great walker and LOVES to go for walks at least twice a day and explore his surroundings. He runs up and down the stairs all day following his foster parents around so he is not afraid of getting exercise. He is very happy and has adjusted very well to his foster home; he loves belly rubs and is a true lap dog. His foster sisters are quite jealous! He likes car rides, sleeps with his foster parents at night, and is fully house trained. His veterinary check-up did not reveal any health concerns except dry skin, so he is regularly getting a bath with special shampoo and as a result, has beautiful, thick fur. Mason stands very still in the tub until his bath is done, and then runs around the house because he is so invigorated. He is a little overweight and could lose about two to three pounds to accommodate his small frame. Mason would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day. He is accustomed to having people around and gets somewhat anxious went left alone. He gets along fine with other dogs, but would also love to be the only dog so he can enjoy all of his owner’s attention.
Mason is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $320.00 plus $23.28 tax, for a total of $343.28. His foster parents would like his adopters to live within 75 miles of the Twin Cities and hope that they will agree to attend the annual Shih Tzu Reunion held in September each year.
