My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jenelle raised 8 lab puppies in Tennessee and now that she’s made it to Connecticut, it’s her turn to be someone’s baby! She is a beautiful brindle Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever mix, approximately two-years old, spayed, and in good health. She is a sweet and loving girl who loves people, children, and other animals. Her ideal home would have a fenced yard, as she loves to explore (chase squirrels) and relax outside! She has had mixed experiences with dogs & cats – but is currently being fostered in a home with another older, smaller dog and they do great! Please consider this sweet and submissive girl whose tail is always wagging and who wants more than anything to just spend time snuggling with you. Jennelle is house-trained, crate-trained, good with kids, sits for treats, and has great energy with people of ALL ages.

This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! This weekend CPR will be participating in Petco’s National Pet Adoption Weekend and will be at Petco in Southington (760 Queen St, Southington, CT) on Friday, December 1st from 2pm-6pm; Saturday, December 2nd from 10am-2pm; and Sunday, December 3rd from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. Come meet our pups and find your forever friend!

The adoption fee is $425 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
