My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzie is an 11 year old Schnauzer/Silky Terrier mix. She has a distinctive black streak down her back, makes her noticeable be everyone. She does not really know how to play, but boy does she try though. When she sees the others playing catch, she wants to join in. Her foster mom just pretends to throw the toy up and on the sly put it in her mouth. Wow how she thinks she has done the greatest feat. Lizzie is very loyal, won't stray far from her owner, most likely you can turn around and she is right there with you. If you allow, she will lay touching you. Lizzie has no experience with cats. She weighs 20 lbs.

We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
