Gloria came to us after she was found wandering in traffic as a stray and was never claimed. She is sweet but has the hallmarks of having been used as a hunting and/or breeding beagle and does not seem to have been treated as a pet. But the natural resiliency of beagles and their happy-go-lucky nature leads them to be grateful companions.
Gloria requires a home with beagle experience that understands she cannot be left unattended in a yard, as she will happily and deftly seek an escape route to her next adventure. This may wane over time as she begins to realize what being a true family member means.
Gloria is current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Current on heartworm preventative and flea preventative and has tested negative for heartworms.
If you are interested, please fill out a Dog Adoption Application
Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).
Local adoptions only within the Greater New Orleans area. We do not ship animals, as a part of our adoption process is for the potential adopter(s) to meet the dog to assess if he/she is a match for the family.
