My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There is alot to say about this puppy.

Nick was found abandoned with his sister in South Florida when they were about 5 weeks old. Unfortunately his sister was very ill and did not survive.
Nick was suffering from malnutrition and had some orthopedic problems but now that he has had good quality food and exercise he is almost completely recovered and ready for a forever home.
With that being said he has been the one and only dog I have ever tried to get into a service dog program. As you can imagine I meet a mass amount of dogs however I see something incredibly special about Nick. Unfortunately he won't get to the size a true service dog needs to be and his previous ortho problems make things complicated also. And when I say service dog I'm not referring to an emotional support dog that many people just order a certificate online for I am referring to a very well trained service animal.
So here he is available for adoption to only the best home possible. Puppies that come from the situation like Nick tend to be unsure of humans and timid of new things but not Nick. He listens well, is very smart, confident, curious, playful and has an excellent temperament.

He is a 9 week old Shar pei mix.

Adoption fee is $200 which includes deworming, microchiped, FIRST puppy shots (adopters will be required to bring the puppy to their vet for the booster vaccines at their expense), and spay/neuter. Any puppy under 16 weeks of age will not have already been altered due to potential risks. The rescue will cover this once they are of age only if brought back to one of our approved vets in the Flagler, Volusia or Orange areas.

When applying for a puppy please remember this is a 10 to 15 year commitment. Think about potentially moving, getting divorced, having a baby, etc. If your dog is not involved in those plans do not adopt. This is a LIFE time commitment.
