Lucky's Story...
LUCKY is a two-and-a-half-year-old brown and black tiger female cat. Lucky came to us with three other cats, all from the same household. Their former owner had experienced a financial setback, and was forced to change residences. The cats unfortunately could not go with her. Lucky is very affectionate and playful, and loves to be held. She’s very easy-going, and has excellent social skills with both humans and other felines. Lucky has wide and curious green eyes, and when she turns them on you, it’s cuddle time! If you’re looking for an affectionate and easy-going companion, come meet Lucky!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
