My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitsu began life with a family that decided to turn her into a shelter when they decided to have a baby. Not sure why they did this as she is a lovely girl. Her second family adopted her from the shelter and had her for approx 1 1/2 years. During this time, she was clicker trained, crate trained and potty trained and also taught to walk nicely on leash. She knows basic obedience commands and listens well.. She is a quick learner and responds well with positive reinforcement clicker training.

Kitsu is a little timid with new people and dogs but warms up if everyone remains calm. She is fine around neutral, calm dogs. We do not know how she is around cats or kids. She gets attached to people and wants to be with them. She has a little bit of anxiety which she is learning to cope with.

Although she loves to play fetch, it is no longer recommended as she gets overly excited and this can lead to small seizure activity. We know of 4 seizure episodes in the last 2 years but it has been kept under control through calm surroundings and daily hemp/cbd oil drops. She can play fetch in the living room for a little bit which she enjoys. We try not to get her overheated or overly excited or stressed.

She has been kept current on monthly preventatives: Heartgard, Bravetco, and Sentinel. She is UTD on all vaccinations, including Canine Influenza. She weighs 28 pounds.

Kitsu will come to you with a vari kennel, crate pad, kong toys, dremel for nails and brush. She is ok with nail trims and baths. She loves her kong toys and can easily entertain herself. She is potty trained but is not the type of dog that you can open up the door to let her out to eliminate. You must go out with her. She really loves her people. She loves to lie with you on the sofa. She is a lovely, easily to live with girl. She is no trouble at all.

Contact Lynn at thankdog@gmail.com to arrange a meeting. Kitsu is currently being fostered in Grayson, GA . We are willing to help transport for the right home.

Kitsu is a courtesy posting and is not offered for adoption by You Lucky Dog Rescue. YLDR explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from the private adoption of this individual animal. Email Lynn at thankdog@gmail.com if interested in meeting Kitsu.
