**Comet will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, Pennington, NJ, over the Aug 18-20 weekend**

Comet and his siblings were all abandoned by their former owner who moved from their property after their electricity and water had been shut off. The couple simply left all of their dogs behind, which included 15 month old puppies and 4 adult dogs.

Comet has a very sweet disposition. He's on the calmer side, but not timid, and simply loves interaction with people and other pups. His playful personality will make him a great addition to most any family.  Comet will grow to be a large dog, weighing approx 60-70 lbs.

As of Aug 8 Comet has received his rabies, bordetella and 2 of 3 of his first year puppy vaccines. He's also been de-wormed on two occasions, treated against parasites and tapeworms as well as kept on his monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. Comet's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.

About Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue is licensed through the State Dept. of Agriculture, with regular inspections being made by them. We are in no way a "puppy mill", rather we take in the stray, abandoned and sick/injured pets and get them back to adoptable status.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and do accept and survive on donations from adopters and/or the general public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility that has set hours of operations. This is not a problem for our adopters because it allows us to meet them with prospective pets in many locations - most are much closer to where they live. We travel to many places in Georgia so if you see someone you like, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you somewhere relatively close by.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple process to follow in adopting an animal from us: fill out an application, wait a few days and pay our fee when everything is approved!
We have a bit more that we do. After reviewing the application we have to check references and with their vet, then we can send the pet to his new home.
