Meet Lizzie! Lizzie is a 7 month old beagle/corgi mix weighing in at about 25 lbs. We found her sitting in a shelter where her time was almost up and knew we had to save her! She will be coming to DC as soon as we can find her a foster or adoptive home! Lizzie is great with other dogs and has also lived with cats and kids. She would be a fantastic addition to ANY family.

She would love to go to a fully fenced dog park to play with new friends! She would also do well on her own with a family to take her for long walks and/or runs. As a young pup, Lizzie definitely needs her exercise! Lizzie is so excited to join a family who loves to play, run and cuddle as much as she does!

Like most shelter dogs, Lizzie may need a refresher on house training. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Application and email it to Ashley at ashleyh@luckydoganimalrescue.org if you are interested in adopting Lizzie! About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
