Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Winston, the good: He is a happy, easy-going dog with a lot of energy. At just 7 months old, he is still a bit of a puppy so he has a lot of energy to burn. His breed is a mystery. He is definitely a mix, but of what? Lab? Hound? Cur? Your guess is as good as ours. He is basically what most shelters call "your basic brown dog"! He loves running in the backyard and going on walks. At 33 lbs., he is the perfect manageable size of "not too big, not too small", although he probably still has some growing and filling out to do. He is learning to not pull on the leash. He is smart and learns what he should and shouldn’t do after a couple of commands. He is housebroken as long as you keep him on a schedule. Winston gets along with everyone he meets. That includes other dogs and small children. He loves chasing and rolling around in the backyard with his foster brother so he would do fine with another dog in the house. He is very content to lay around on the floor or the couch in the evening. At night he doesn’t make a sound all night and loves sleeping in his crate until you let him out. He would also love to lay in bed if that’s what you wanted him to do. He really likes his crate and likes to go sit in there sometimes during the day. It is his own private little room and he likes to keep his toys in there.
The bad: ummm.... nothing!
Winston is the perfect balance of energy and loveableness. He is one of those dogs that only thinks happy thoughts! All around, a really great dog who you can’t help but love. The lucky family that adopts Winston will be the family that is ready, willing and able to give him the exercise he needs, keep him well socialized, and continue with his obedience training without interruption.
Winston's adoption fee of $325 includes: comprehensive vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, routine deworming, microchip and neuter.
